Restaurant Week is back, giving food lovers the chance to explore restaurants across the country while supporting the local hospitality industry. Running from 25 September to 1 November 2026, the event features special menus at more than 200 restaurants, including options for lunch and dinner.
For Cape Town residents, it’s an opportunity to try restaurants they have been meaning to visit, plan a meal with friends or family, or discover a new favourite without paying the usual menu prices.

What Is Restaurant Week South Africa?
Founded in 2012, Restaurant Week South Africa is an initiative by Dinestar South Africa that connects diners with restaurants through limited-time dining offers. The event takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn, bringing participating restaurants together to offer set menus at special prices.
During the current edition, diners can enjoy two-course lunches from R195 and three-course dinners from R295 at participating establishments. Each restaurant sets its own menu and offer, so the dishes and prices may vary.
The initiative also gives restaurants an opportunity to introduce their menus to new customers, attract diners during the campaign and encourage people to return after the event.

How to Book a Restaurant Week Experience
Planning to take part? There is one important thing to know: you need to make a booking in advance. You cannot simply arrive at a restaurant and expect to receive the Restaurant Week offer.
Visit the official Restaurant Week website to browse participating restaurants and explore their menus. Once you have found a restaurant you would like to visit, follow the booking instructions provided on its listing to reserve your table.
Check the restaurant’s specific offer, available dates, menu details and booking conditions before confirming your reservation. Restaurant Week offers are subject to availability, so booking ahead is the best way to secure your spot.
Are You a Restaurant Owner? Join Restaurant Week
Restaurant Week South Africa is also an opportunity for restaurants looking to reach new customers and increase their visibility. By participating, restaurants can showcase their food, introduce diners to their menus and attract bookings from people looking for their next dining experience.
Restaurants interested in joining the initiative can visit the official Restaurant Week South Africa website to find out more about participation and how to register. Contact the organisers through the website for the current participation requirements, deadlines and terms.
Whether you run a neighbourhood restaurant, a family-owned eatery or an established dining destination, taking part can put your business in front of an audience actively looking for places to eat.

Support Local! One Meal at a Time
Restaurants are an important part of Cape Town’s local business community. They create jobs, support suppliers and give people places to meet, celebrate and spend time together.
Restaurant Week offers a reason to explore beyond your usual favourites and put another local business on your list. With the current campaign running until 1 November 2026, there is still time to find a restaurant, book a table and enjoy a meal.
